Tiny Sea Snail Earrings (origin: Tinopai, NZ)
Tiny sea snail shells, collected off our local beach at Tinopai and cast into solid sterling silver. As a kid, I’d look in the rock pools for these at the beach, and you’d see them all clinging onto the rocks in their little rockpool universes!
Collected off our local beach at Tinopai, in the Kaipara Harbour. Cast into solid sterling silver, they have a lovely weight to them and are gorgeous to wear!
They are finished with my solid sterling silver hand made hooks, and will be carefully wrapped in layers of tissue and put into a linen bag for safe keeping or for gift giving :o)
I can lightly oxidise (darken) them to bring out the detail, or I can leave them shiny which is my default 🙂
The shell used to make this mould has been returned to the sea.
