About me ...

My name is Tina De Suza, and I'm an artisan silversmith jeweller. I work out of my small workshop in Tinopai on the Kaipara Harbour, in the north of New Zealand. It's just me in the workshop, as Greg spends a lot of time on the water as a Skipper with Coastguard NZ.

My work is mainly in sterling silver and copper, and often with gemstones, Czech glass and resin. All the sterling jewellery is handmade by me, using mostly the old traditional silversmithing methods, with some modern casting.

The kina, paua, totorere and other NZ seashell pendants and earrings are cast into solid sterling silver right here in New Zealand, and the original shells were gathered off NZ beaches. They are gorgeous! I also have a range of tiny NZ sea shells such as scallops, cockles, snails and limpets - these make the most stunning earrings.

Kauri leaf earrings and pendants are a recent additions to the mix, and these have been cast from flora right out of the local Matakohe forests.

I also have a passion for original vintage cutlery, and love to transform these old relics into stunning wearable art pieces and tiny bud vases.

My work is available through the online shop, and from the stockists listed. As always, thank you so much for your support of another small NZ business!

Kind regards

Tina De Suza
