Cast from an original genuine NZ paua shell (from the stunning West Coast of the South Island) into solid sterling silver. The original shell has been used to make the mould, and then returned to the sea.
I have hung these on my hand made solid sterling silver ear wires. The standard size business card in the pic gives some scale to the size of them.
All my moulding and casting is done locally here in NZ, by a professional caster.
I can leave them bright and shiny, or lightly oxidise (darken) to bring out the detail. It’s my default to send them shiny.
