Cute little cockle shells, collected off our local beach at Tinopai, in the Kaipara Harbour. Cast into solid sterling, they have a nice weight to them and are lovely to wear!
Finished with solid sterling silver hand made hooks. They will be carefully wrapped in layers of tissue and put into a linen bag for safe keeping or for gift giving :o)
My default is to send them shiny, or I can lightly oxidise (darken) them to bring out the detail.
The shell used to make this mould has been returned to the sea.
